Our special tip: Excursion blogger Anna from Little Family on Tour about Lower Austria
Anna loves family trips - especially in her home state of Lower Austria! Luckily for us, she also takes wonderful pictures and lets us share in her trips via her blog "Little Family on Tour" and social media .
We were allowed to interview Anna and this is how she answered:
familienausflug.info: Who are you and where are you from?
Anna: My name is Anna, I am in my mid-thirties and live with my family (husband + 2 kids) in western Lower Austria, more precisely in the beautiful Mostviertel. I explore our beautiful world with my family as often as possible - preferably by (electric) car. I try to convey our experiences as authentically as possible: My mission: To inspire other families/grandparents/aunts to do activities and to show that you can experience a lot (especially) with children.
Fun Facts:
- My husband doesn't use social media/Instagram, so you hardly see him in the pictures, but he supports my hobby 100%.
- You don't see me in front of the camera very often, but I love being behind the camera
- we love road trips
- In my personal opinion, travel and excursions are very valuable for one's own spiritual growth and especially for the growth of children
familienausflug.info: How long has your profile/blog been around and how did you come up with the idea of starting the whole thing?
Anna: My blog, or rather the idea of publicly sharing our (often local) experiences, came about during the coronavirus pandemic. It went online on August 10, 2020, and new posts and excursion ideas are constantly being added.
In the meantime, the blog in connection with Instagram has become a wonderful hobby or passion project and it is simply an incredible joy - especially the feedback from the community encourages me to do something.
familienausflug.info: What makes Lower Austria so special and worth living in for you?
Anna: Lower Austria is my second home, as I originally come from Upper Austria. At first I didn't really know what there was to see in Lower Austria. But we have now discovered some beautiful places and there are more and more. In my opinion, Lower Austria is somewhat underestimated in terms of its diversity - the state is definitely multifaceted AND worth discovering.
familienausflug.info: Our readers should definitely take a look at your profile because…?
Anna: I try to offer my small but fine community a good mix of:
- Leisure adventures as a family with a toddler and baby - but also those without children/grandparents/aunts/uncles are very welcome!
- stroller and family-friendly hikes
- Excursions and travel destinations in and around Austria/Europe
- Inspirations for leisure/holidays/accommodation/everyday life to save on Instagram and read on the blog .
