In Dinoland, visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet in a beautiful forest and meadow area covering 40,000 square meters - and not just for one season, but as a permanent family adventure park! On their discovery tour through the extensive research area, they embark on an exciting journey into a long-gone geological era over 200 million years ago with more than 70 life-sized and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons and fossils that are now at home in Katzenberg. Visitors find themselves face to face with impressive giants such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex or the Triceratops and even the Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous lizards. They all tell interesting stories and will inspire researchers both big and small! All models were manufactured true to the original under scientific guidance. Thanks to sophisticated animatronics, some of them can even move and make sounds in a deceptively realistic way. Around 100,000 visitors have been thrilled and fascinated by the dinosaurs at Tüßling Castle over the last two years – now the Dinoland success story is entering the next round!
Interactive and educationally valuable
Dinoland is a unique prehistoric classroom with interactive children's areas that invite children to discover, touch and try things out. Instead of going to a dusty museum, children and their parents can discover exciting things about the prehistoric colossi and their time in the beautiful ambience of Katzenberg Castle.
In addition to the impressive exhibits, the adventure park offers a diverse and extraordinary hands-on program for all ages. The favorite stations from Tüßling will of course also be available in Katzenberg: In the Dinodrome, the little visitors can do their laps in dino scooters, sit on life-sized dinosaurs during the dino ride and win a personalized researcher's pass in the dino rally. It is exciting and educational to sift through treasures and uncover fossils in the research camp, where the children become amateur archaeologists! But great new play stations also provide exciting variety on the extensive grounds of the castle park: There will be a variety of challenging climbing and crawling facilities, giant slides, an enchanted labyrinth, exciting balancing paths and, as a special highlight, a flying fox with which you can "fly" through the air suspended on a rope!
There are exciting finds to discover in the museum again this year and the brand new educational and fun show in the Dino Live Arena will provide entertainment several times a day. If you want to take the dinosaur fun home with you, you will certainly find what you are looking for in the shop. Comfort and food are provided so that young and old alike can always get some refreshment before embarking on a new adventure! Visitors should definitely plan at least three hours for the approximately one-kilometer circular route!
All attractions except the Dino Rides are included in the entrance fee. Children under four years of age have free admission.
Katzenberg Castle is a beautiful complex between Kirchdorf am Inn and Obernberg am Inn, about 15 kilometers from Bad Füssing in the district of Passau and is located on the old Roman road from Altheim to Passau. Within a radius of 10 km you will also find one of the largest spa towns in Germany, Bad Füssing, as well as the SPA Resort Therme Geinberg. Katzenberg Castle and its garden are popular and often used for a variety of events such as small concerts and markets, but also weddings.
