Description Destination

Even as a teenager, art collector Lukas Jakob (born 1998 in Freiburg im Breisgau; lives and works there) found identification and inspiration for his own worldview in the visual arts. Works from his collection connect this personal approach to art in the exhibition with the motif of the anti-hero. The exhibition thus offers a perspective on collecting from that of Generation Z. On the same floor, the presentation of the Bahnwärter scholarship recipient Grischa Kaczmarek follows in two rooms. His engagement with post-heroic masculinity, queer identity, and popular culture is also linked to the Jakob collection.
