The tour of the castle begins in the arcade courtyard and leads through the castle pharmacy, armory and chapel to the living quarters of the Counts of Clam.
In addition to several guest rooms, you can also see the former breakfast room, which now houses a unique porcelain collection. During the tour, visitors get an insight into life in the medieval castle over the centuries and up to the present day.
The unique thing about Clam Castle is that you walk through an inhabited, fully furnished, medieval fortress!

    The castle can be reached from Grein on the Danube in 10 minutes.

    Coming from Linz:
    A1 exit Asten/St. Florian
    On B1 to Mauthausen and on B3 to Perg, continue towards Grein
    In Baumgartenberg (approx. 10 minutes after Perg) turn left towards Klam / Clam Castle

    Coming from Vienna:
    A1 exit Ybbs
    After the Danube bridge at Persenbeug: continue left on the B3
    Through Grein, leave the B3 in Saxen (approx. 5 minutes after Grein)
