Graz "Primeval Forest" Graz A "primeval forest" in the cityThe Graz Primeval Forest is private property of the Styrian Nature Conservation Youth, but access is permitted until further notice. Walkers and families are welcome to visit the primeval forest. The "Graz Primeval Forest" eco-island has existed since 1993. During this time, many school classes have taken part in guided tours and worked on school projects. There are more than 30 tree species on the approximately 3 hectare site, which is owned by the Styrian Nature Conservation Youth. In addition to stately exotic trees from the time of the k. & k. tree nursery, almost all native species are also represented. A unique opportunity not only for children, because not even many locals know that there is a primeval forest in Graz.
