You will learn exciting things about former craftsmen in Calw and their lives, the construction of a half-timbered house and some other interesting historical background of the city.
These exciting questions and more are answered in a very unique way during the various thematic city tours.
The monastery in Hirsau also offers an almost inexhaustible opportunity to bring history to life. On an exciting journey of discovery, the way of life of the Hirsau monks is told. In the darkness with torches, the numerous stories can be conveyed even more impressively.
The tours are suitable for children aged 6 to 14.

    The excellent infrastructure enables easy and smooth travel
    by car. Calw also has a significant public transport network. Calw is located on the Pforzheim - Tübingen cultural railway line.
    The train station is located directly in the city. In addition, the Calw Transport Company provides a dense bus network.
    Calw is located approximately 60 km southwest of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart. Calw can be reached via the A 5, A 8 and A 81 motorways and then via the B 295, B 296 and B 463 federal highways.
    • Motorway A8 from Karlsruhe:
    Exit Pforzheim-West (approx. 25 km); Continue on the federal highway 463 towards Calw
    • Motorway A8 from Ulm/Stuttgart:
    Exit Leonberg (approx. 30 km), continue on the federal road 295 towards Weil der Stadt to
    Calw
    • Motorway A81 from the south/Lake Constance:
    Exit Gärtringen-Stadtmitte (approx. 20 km), continue on the K 1075; near Deckenpfronn
    left onto the K 1022. At the roundabout take the first exit and continue on the B 296 towards Calw
    drive.
