🏰 Nuremberg Crime Trail: End of the Legend – Tracing Clues Around the Imperial Castle
A crime trail is an interactive outdoor experience where you use your smartphone to act as investigators through the city, deciphering clues, questioning suspects, checking alibis and combining evidence – flexibly and without a fixed start date. Nuremberg thus becomes a vibrant stage for your city rally.
The story centers on a mysterious death: History professor Albert Oppelt is found dead in the moat below the Imperial Castle after the castle moat festival. He wanted to prove that the robber knight Eppelein von Gailingen once jumped over the wall of the pentagonal tower with his horse and thus escaped his execution. Accident, reckless self-experiment, or crime?
Your team follows the trail through the old town – from the courtyard of the Imperial Castle along the Pegnitz River to the Frauentor moat, passing St. Lorenz Church and Unschlitthaus. You use the digital investigation chat to gather evidence, check statements, and put the puzzle pieces together.
