Description Destination

The path is 3.5 km long and leads over 120 meters in altitude past the 1000-year-old oak tree into a beautiful forest with moss-covered rock formations of all sizes and shapes. A great playground for climbers but also for explorers, because the path between the giant rocks leads to 2 caves. One of them, the Russian hideout, served as a hiding place during wartime. After a sacrificial bowl you can make a detour to the Boblberg summit (approx. 5 min).
The trail starts at parking lot 5 in Gutau behind the cloth dyeing factory and is well marked (yellow sign with a black spiral or red-white-red markings). There is a playground near the parking lot. The trail can be combined with a visit to the Dyer's Museum. Restaurants in the town.
Be careful with children when climbing the rocks. The second cave is somewhat hidden and is not marked, like the Russian hiding place and the sacrificial bowl. After the Russian hideout, follow the marked narrow path straight downhill. At first glance, the cave looks like a rocky outcrop. Here you have to crawl in and look for the entrance. Don’t forget your flashlight! The path is not suitable for strollers!
