Description Destination

Calw is located on the approximately 90-kilometer-long Nagold Valley cycle path, which runs along the Nagold River.
The source of the Nagold is located near Besenfeld in the Black Forest. After it is dammed in Besenfeld-Erzgrube, its course continues through Altensteig to the large district town of Nagold. From Wildberg the route leads into the picturesque Seitzental, further to the Teinach station and then to the Hermann Hesse town of Calw. The next rest stop can be in the historic monastery complex of Hirsau, before a beautiful route leads from Bad Liebenzell via Unterreichenbach to the destination city of Pforzheim.
The route can also be cycled in reverse.
Along the route you will find numerous sights and places to stop for refreshments. So there is something for the whole family!
By the way: If you get tired on the way or the route is still too long - you can board the culture train at any time along the Pforzheim - Nagold route!

    Calw is located approximately 60 km southwest of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart. Calw can be reached via the A 5, A 8 and A 81 motorways and then via the B 295, B 296 and B 463 federal highways.
    • A8 motorway from Karlsruhe:
    Exit Pforzheim-West (approx. 25 km); continue on the B 463 federal highway towards Calw
    • A8 motorway from Ulm/Stuttgart:
    Exit Leonberg (approx. 30 km), continue on the B 295 federal highway towards Weil der Stadt to
    Calw
    • A81 motorway from the south/Lake Constance:
    Exit Gärtringen-Stadtmitte (approx. 20 km), continue on the K 1075; near Deckenpfronn
    turn left onto the K 1022. At the roundabout take the first exit and continue on the B 296 towards Calw
