Description Destination
Nestled between the Lafnitz in the north, the Stadlberg in the south and the distinctive floodplain landscape of the Raab lies Europe's only trilateral nature park.
It is influenced by the cultural peculiarities of the three countries Austria, Hungary and Slovenia. Diversity is the special characteristic of this border region – diversity of nature, landscapes, languages and cultures, and local food and drink. For centuries, the area of the nature park lay away from all major industrial areas and therefore preserved its intact nature. Today, cultural landscapes with vineyards, orchards, meadows and fields spread out and form a colorful mosaic that is complemented by picturesque villages. In the immediate vicinity of the border you will find a small fen area with botanical treasures such as lung gentian and Siberian iris. Another special feature is the European dogtooth moth found in the Neuhaus hills. The nature park provides a habitat for numerous rare species of bats, grasshoppers and butterflies. Several themed trails present the region's peculiarities to the nature park's guests. The nature park also offers the renovated Jost Mill, adventure tours and canoe trips on the Raab and Lafnitz.

A2 Southern Autobahn exit Ilz/Fürstenfeld and then via Loipersdorf - Grieselstein - towards Jennersdorf - turn left - straight across the roundabout - after 200 meters turn right towards Neumarkt (signposted VOSSEN) - over the railway crossing - after approx. 1 km over the Raab bridge and then turn right to Wehr (if you are in Neumarkt, you are already too far).
