The Paper Theater Museum invites you to immerse yourself in a world full of delicate figures, exciting stories and sometimes even flashy effects! In Germany, paper theater has a tradition going back over 200 years. Many decorations, figure sheets and text booklets from the 19th century have been preserved.

The miniature theater still casts its spell today - be it in the play or the paper theater with its figures and backdrops itself. UNESCO has followed suit and declared paper theater an intangible cultural heritage.

The Paper Theater Museum is supported by the city of Hanau and the Forum Papiertheater e.V. association.
