Description Destination

During Advent, the entire town center of Grossarl is transformed into a cozy Advent village. Around 30 small huts made from old wood offer arts and crafts and specialties from the region. The life-sized carved village nativity scene and the nativity scene path from the town center up to the parish church are particularly worth seeing. There is also an extensive children's program with a cookie bakery, Christkindl workshop, fairytale forest, barbecues around the campfire, fairytale room and much more. Singers and musicians perform old Christmas songs, which are occasionally accompanied by the tinkling of bells from passing horse-drawn carriages. The market is open from November 22nd to December 22nd, Friday to Sunday and on December 8th. There is also a small, fine Advent market in the Bergsteigerdorf® Hüttschlag. Tip: Enjoy unforgettable days of skiing on the Großarltal-Dorfgastein ski area during the day and treat yourself to punch and mulled wine at the Advent market in the evening.
