Description Destination
The region around Oberhaag is at an altitude of around 850 m and is a popular hiking and cross-country skiing region. The rolled winter hiking trails run along the small and large Haagerloipe and lead through the beautiful, snow-covered Bohemian Forest.
There are 2 variants: the small circuit is 3 km long, the large circuit 4 km. A total of 70 m of elevation must be overcome, the gradients are easy to medium. Both circuits are ideal for sleigh or bobsleigh hikes.
The starting point is at the car park of the Landhotel Haagerhof. From here it goes uphill towards the forest. When you reach the edge of the forest, turn right and from here follow the "Small Haagerloipe" for the short circuit, or the "Large Haagerloipe" for the long circuit.
There is no fee to pay for the winter hiking trails, for cross-country skiers there is a fee machine in the car park above the Landhotel Haagerhof.
Both trails are perfect for young and old cross-country skiing beginners. There is a toboggan run at the Haagerhof.

Coming from Vienna or Salzburg on the A1 and A7-Linz, take exit 6 towards Linz Zentrum, then continue on the B127 to Aigen-Schlägl. Drive through Aigen-Schlägl and turn right towards Haagerhof (signposted). Coming from Salzburg or Graz, at the Wels junction, take the A25 towards the E56 and take exit 17 Wels-Nord onto the B137. Continue on the B127 to Aigen-Schlägl and to the starting point.
