The Wortreich: The World of Knowledge and Experience for Communication

The Wortreich in Bad Hersfeld invites its guests to discover language and experience communication. This world of knowledge and experience is unique in Germany: around 90 exhibits offer listening, seeing, discovering, and trying things out.

Guests are encouraged to participate and try things out, learning not only interesting facts about language and communication, but often also a lot about themselves. All senses are addressed, and visitors can be inspired by exciting games, challenging knowledge tests, and modern computer stations, depending on their interests.

The Wortreich is completely accessible.

    We are closed on Mondays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Please note, however: we are open on Easter Monday.

    Follow the municipal parking guidance system to the Schilde-Park parking garage. There is a parking garage for 180 cars available. Parking costs €1.00 per hour and a day ticket costs a maximum of €5.00. There is a free parking area for coaches in the immediate vicinity.
    A bus stop bay allows coaches to stop directly at Schilde Park. You can reach this by entering the address Benno-Schilde-Str. in your navigation system. Enter 21.
    Arriving by train
    You can easily reach the wortreich from the train station on foot: Follow Bahnhofstraße straight ahead until you reach Friedloser Straße and turn left here. From there, cross a large intersection straight ahead and after about 400 meters you will reach the wortreich. About 10 minutes walk.
    On foot from the city centre
    At the City-Galerie, turn into Benno-Schilde-Straße and follow it for about 100 meters until you reach the city ring road. Once you have crossed it, you will find yourself directly in Schilde Park.

    Spannendes Erlebnis für Kinder und Erwachsene

    Im wortreich erfährt man interaktiv wie spannend und lebendig Sprache ist und wie vielfältig Kommunikation sein kann. Viele Mitmachstationen richten sich sowohl an Erwachsene wie auch Kinder, einige können auch gemeinsam mit der ganzen Familie ausprobiert werden. Ein tolles Erlebnis für alle!

    Museum der besonderen Art

    Das wortreich begeisterte meine Kinder und mich mit den interaktiven Exponaten, die jeden zum Mitmachen anregen. Es wird nicht langweilig und auch bei erneuten Besuchen findet jeder neue spannende und interessante Dinge. Die verschiedenen Angebote wie Ferienprogramm, Workshops oder Führungen sind noch ein weiterer Pluspunkt, der hier nicht extra benannt werden kann.
    Wer noch nicht dort war, verpasst etwas!
