Munich and its surroundings are excellent destinations if you are planning a family trip . The Bavarian capital, located in the foothills of the Alps, has a lot to offer: culture, water, the proximity of the Alps and a relaxed way of life. A bike ride around Lake Starnberg is also worthwhile. You can easily manage this with young people. The bike path is 49 km long and runs along and near the lake.

The best time for families to visit the Munich area is between May and September. In October, the legendary Oktoberfest takes place in the capital, which is known beyond the borders of Europe . People then celebrate at the Wiesn in lederhosen and dirndls, and the old tradition of drinking beer and socializing is maintained.
