The Ossiacher See Family Forest is a truly unique destination for young and old. Special highlights include the TREENETS adventure - unique in Central Europe - or the "Fly-Line" forest roller coaster. For reptile lovers: The Nockalm Reptile Zoo
The zoo in the Nockberge has a huge collection of poisonous snakes. There are also other animals such as spiders, lizards, cockroaches, crocodiles and snails.
The Nockalm Reptile Zoo was founded in 1995 and is located in the Patergassen district of the Ebene Reichenau municipality on the edge of the Nockberge National Park (Nockberge Biosphere Park) in the middle of nature.

Flying through the rock labyrinth of Nassfeld
The Rock Labyrinth & Flying Fox Nassfeld not only has amazing high ropes elements and flying fox courses, but also climbing routes between, over and through real rock formations.
Children aged 5 and over and 100 cm tall can complete the yellow children's course with platforms and high ropes elements under adult supervision. Accompanied by an adult, they can also complete other green courses with flying fox elements and from the age of 8, they can also complete the blue courses with higher high ropes elements and the blue via ferrata.
In addition to the blue “beginner” course, older kids (from 140 cm tall), as well as teenagers and adults, can also look forward to two exciting red high-altitude courses and an extended red via ferrata. For the really brave, there is further instruction on how to enter the “Black Spider” and “Base Jump”.

Cuddle with donkeys: Maltatal Donkey Park
The Maltatal Donkey Park is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia and is home to over 100 animals of various breeds. The park has an area of 30,000 square meters and is accessible to visitors and also suitable for wheelchair users.
The animals like to be petted; you can even cuddle the donkeys on the large meadow.
The donkey park is located between Fischertratten and the town of Malta on the left side - you can recognize it by the big yellow flags! 💛

For castle fans: Hochosterwitz Castle
The history of Hochosterwitz Castle is very extensive. For this reason, you should allow yourself at least 1.5 hours to enjoy the castle. Please note that the castle gates close on time. Access to the castle is possible until 1.5 hours before closing time. The tip for families in Sankt Georgen am Längsee is moderately priced. Dogs are allowed here.

On a tour of the monkey kingdom at the Adventure Monkey Mountain at Burg Landskron, you will learn everything you need to know about the Japanese macaques that live there. In a 4-hectare outdoor enclosure, you will be surrounded by around 180 Japanese macaques and can observe the animals as if they were in the wild.

Life is a pony farm! At least that's true for the Trattlers. At Trattlers Pony Farm, children can playfully get in touch with the small, good-natured ponies. The riding instructors also tell exciting stories about the ponies and provide lots of pony knowledge for curious horse fans.
