OUR TIPS
FOR THEMED AND EXPERIENCE TRAILS 👣

Off to new paths! Spring 🌷 is perfect for expeditions on many theme and adventure trails. The must-haves: plenty for little explorers to discover, climbing opportunities and spectacular viewpoints. We're happy to add optional highlights such as a gondola ride or animals to observe or pet. 😉 If your backpack is well filled with provisions, nothing can go wrong.

We would like to introduce you to these adventure trails today:

🥾 Zirbenpark Hochzeiger in Pitztal (Award winner 2021 ⭐)

🥾 Heidi Trail in St. Gallen

🥾 Eibenwald adventure trail in the Black Forest

🥾 Squirrel forest in Marling / South Tyrol

Tip 1: The Zirbenpark Hochzeiger in the Pitztal

Games, fun and interesting facts about the rare Swiss stone pine make a trip to the ZirbenPark Hochzeiger interesting for all ages. The ZirbenPark circular hiking trail in the Pitztal starts at the Hochzeiger middle station at 2,000 meters . The adventure trail leads through the Swiss stone pine forest with a view of the towns of Jerzens and Wenns.

At the 17 stations, there is interesting information to be learned about the "Queen of the Alps", as the Swiss stone pine is affectionately known. A highlight is the twelve-meter-high Swiss stone pine cone adventure tower with its 16-meter-long tube slide. It is modeled on a Swiss stone pine cone and has a viewing platform. Visitors of all ages can also have a lot of fun on the Swiss stone pine ball climbing tree at the middle station. It offers an exciting interplay of climbing fun and ball track action.

Tip 2: Heidi Trail in Bad Ragaz - Wangs

The Heidi experience begins at the valley station in Bad Ragaz, where small goat stables point to the Heidi trail. A special experience for children is the gondola ride in one of the decorated Heidi gondolas.

On the circular path, the aim is to find Peter's goats. It certainly won't be boring on the Heidi Trail. The comfortable circular hiking trail leads past various attractions such as the barefoot path with children's Kneipp facility, the hammock forest or the goat jump. There are also playgrounds, barbecue areas and a viewing point .

The Heidi Trail is suitable for strollers up to Alp Schwarzbüel.

Tip 3: Eibenwald adventure trail in the Black Forest

Since 2019, there has been an adventure trail near the Waldshut game reserve and around the yew forest. Young and old can learn about the local forest here on a 1.7-kilometer trail. What does a forester actually do and what does sustainable forestry mean? How do I find out the height of a tree or what use does wood have for us? And how is it that even dead trees are still important for the cycle of life?

All these questions and more will be answered at the stations along the trail. You should plan on about 1.5 hours to explore the adventure trail. A trip to the trail can also be perfectly combined with a visit to the game reserve . There are public toilets there as well as a kiosk that offers snacks and drinks from 11 a.m. in spring and summer.

Parking spaces are available directly at the entrance to the path. The parking lot can be reached by car from Waldshut's old town in 10 minutes. You can also reach the Eibenwald adventure trail on foot in around 45 minutes.

Tip 4: Squirrel Trail in Marling / South Tyrol

The nature and adventure trail in Marling, marked with squirrel signs, is designed as a circular trail that offers 23 nature and adventure stations for the whole family over a distance of just over a kilometer. It is divided into play, sports and rest areas , with educational stations on the subject of forest and wood in between. The nature and adventure trail in Marling also attracts young and old with an adventure rope course and a forest auditorium for creative forest artists.
