Wonderful panorama with Irrsee and the mountains of the Salzkammergut on the one hand and Wallersee and the Salzburg/Bavarian mountains on the other.
Hiking trails Straßwalchen: Starting point Hofstädterbauer in Lengroid, follow the forest path, past the barrier, in about 1 hour you reach the highest point of the Irrsberg at 844 m
Return route - 2 variants:
Variant 1: Take the Neumarkter Weg to Tonis Bauernschänke in Pfongau and then continue towards Lengroid to the starting point at Hofstädter.
Variant 2: Towards Höhenroid (Oberhofen) - here you have a beautiful view of the Irrsee and the mountains on the descent. Salzkammergut. Continue through the district of Haslach and towards Irrsdorf. The path leads through Irrsdorf past the Saat&Korn mill, continue left at the next fork. After the railway underpass past the sports field/tennis court, you reach the Hubertus Chapel. Next fork, turn left to Stadlberg and at the first opportunity turn left again, back to the starting point at Hofstädter.
Hiking trails Neumarkt:
Starting point: car park Tonis Bauernschänke/Pfongau. From there uphill to the district of Lengroid. At the fork in the road turn left towards Irrsberg, past Spielberg and Wimmerbauer towards the summit of Irrsberg. Crossing the platform on the summit, follow the forest road down to the Hofstädterbauern and further to the starting point Pfongau.
Route info Neumarkt: 2.5 hours, forest road is suitable for strollers
Route info Straßwalchen: approx. 1 hour, sturdy shoes are recommended
