Handcart unpacking in editorial time
That was easy! New record: from closed package to finished handcart in under 20 minutes!
Admittedly, I have practice! Thanks to my own children of kindergarten age, I have already assembled a few child transport devices such as strollers, buggies and bike trailers in the past.
I am all the more pleased to announce that elvent GmbH has come up with something really good! The multifunctional handcart with the really apt name "smart cruiser" from the German company elvent sets new standards - in every respect!

Before we can use the smart cruiser, we first have to unpack and assemble the thing. And that was done - hold on tight - in less than 20 minutes . The clear instructions that come with it were helpful, but actually hardly necessary.
From the front: Delivery and packaging of the smart cruiser
The handcart from elvent was delivered in a compact package by a freight company . We were briefly concerned because the packaging had been slightly damaged on the outside during transport - but this turned out to be completely unfounded. However, everything inside was intact - thanks to good packaging design .
The package includes:
- Delivery note – of course
- Operating instructions – compact & clearly structured
- Information on return policy – not necessary for us
- Gummy bears – yippee!
Structure of the smart cruiser handcart:
The smart cruiser comes in a textile packaging and storage bag that keeps everything together. Once the handcart and the few extra parts are unpacked, things go very quickly :
- Pull the handcart body apart and fix it with light pressure
- Fasten brake bar, front and rear wheels using plug-in system
- Roof on it
- Hooking the rear bag
- Secure the push handle
That's it! You're ready to go!
A big plus: most of the parts, such as the extendable pull rod or the two 5-point belts, are already attached and adjusted. No annoying threading of belt loops, no screwing, no guesswork when setting up: simply pure luxury!
Technical data:
The smart cruiser has belts for 2 children from 12 months ; it is designed for up to 80 kg and weighs a compact 15.4 kg .
