Unsere Glasmacher kommen aus Portugal und Italien. Sie arbeiten von Montag bis Freitag von 9.30 bis 13.00 Uhr und von 13.30 bis 17.00 Uhr, am Samstag von 9.30 bis 12.30 Uhr und von 13.00 bis 16.00 Uhr. Früher bildeten wir auch Lehrlinge aus. Eine Ausbildung ist heute nur noch im Ausland möglich, zum Beispiel an der Glasfachschule in Zwiesel, Deutschland. - Glasi Hergiswil

Mit Licht und Ton werden Sie durch ein Kulissenlabyrinth geführt. Inszenierte Räume schildern die Entwicklung des Handwerks in der Glasi Hergiswil und die wirtschaftlichen Höhen und Tiefen des Unternehmens. Das Museum «vom Feuer geformt» erzählt vom dörflichen Filz, vom Kampf zwischen den Kleinen und den Grossen, von Direktoren und Arbeitern. Sinnliche Räume zeigen die grosse Krise nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg und die Rettung der Glasi durch Roberto Niederer. Das Museum «vom Feuer geformt» ist ein begehbarer Film, ein Landtheater, ein Illusionskabinett, eine Zeitmaschine. Lassen Sie sich verzaubern von den vielfältigen Inszenierungen. Juni 2010 hat in der Glasi Hergiswil das erste Glas-Labyrinth der Schweiz seine Tore eröffnet. Unzählige Besucher haben sich seither verzaubern und faszinieren lassen. Alles begann mit der Visionären Idee, Glas für Menschen auf eine andere Art erlebbar zu machen. Die Idee sollte Realität werden und so wurde gemeinsam mit dem Künstler Heinz Gadient, der Berner Firma Glas Trösch und dem Komponisten Martin Baumgartner, das erste Glas-Labyrinth der Schweiz realisiert. Auf knapp 100 m2 wurden 77 Glaswände mit einem Gesamtgewicht von 10 Tonnen zu einem einmaligen Projekt aus Licht, Klang und Material zusammengefügt. - Glasi Hergiswil

Eine 7 Meter hohe Murmelbahn mit Rutschbahn, diverse Murmelspiele, ein Sandkasten mit Quarzsand (das wichtigste Rohmaterial vom Glas), Spielgeräte und vieles mehr werden die Kinder begeistern. Gläserne Murmeln sind am Automaten erhältlich (10 Stück kosten Fr. 5.–). Der Glasi-Park wird vom Glasi-Drachen «Leandra» bewacht. Drachenklettern erlaubt! Ein richtiges Märchen und doch völlig anders als richtig. Es ist ein Märchen von den Märchen. Denn es bringt zusammen, was so noch nie zusammen gebracht wurde. An sich bekannte Schlüsselszenen aus insgesamt sechs klassischen Geschichten (sowie einer realen Tragödie) sind neu verflochten, Versatzstücke aus dem Märchenfundus zu einem neuen Ganzen zusammengedichtet.
